Clakk. Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and GM Studio ("we", "us"), the maker of Clakk. They cover the game and its online service: your online account, saving to our server, leaderboards, ranked and casual duels, rooms, gifts, and the in-game economy. By creating an online account or using online features, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you got Clakk. through Steam, Steam's own Subscriber Agreement also applies to your purchase and your Steam account. These terms add to it and do not replace it.

1. Your account

• You choose a nickname when you create an account. It is shown to other players on leaderboards, in duels and in rooms.
• Do not use a nickname that is offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading or that pretends to be someone else. We may change or remove a nickname that breaks this rule.
• Your account has a login code. Anyone who has it can use your account, so keep it private. We will never ask you for it.
• An account is for one person. Do not sell, share or transfer it.

2. Fair play

Clakk. is about real typing. You must not:

• use macros, scripts, bots, auto-typers or any tool that types for you;
• change, edit or tamper with save files, game files or the data the game sends to our server;
• use bugs or exploits to get coins, parts, rank or records, or keep using one after you find it;
• disrupt the service, other players or matches, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.

If we believe you broke these rules, we may remove records or leaderboard entries, reset coins, parts or rank gained unfairly, or suspend or close your account. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

3. Coins, sparks, parts and boxes

• Coins, sparks, parts, titles and other in-game items are part of the game. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use them in Clakk. You do not own them, and they have no cash value.
• They cannot be sold, traded or exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and cannot be moved to another account.
• Mystery boxes give a random part. The chance of each rarity and the guarantee are shown in the store before you open a box. A part you already own is turned into coins as shown there.
• We may change prices, rewards, odds, balance and items to keep the game fair and fun. We will not take back items you obtained fairly, except to fix a mistake or a breach of these terms.
• Sparks cannot be bought with real money in this version. If real-money purchases are added, their price and what you receive will be shown before you pay, and the store or platform you pay through may have its own terms.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that apply to you.

4. The online service

• The online service runs on our server. It may sometimes be slow or unavailable, for example during maintenance or updates.
• Some features need a current version of the game. The game may ask you to update before you can play online.
• We may change, add or remove online features. If we ever plan to shut the online service down, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

5. What you send us

Your nickname, survey answers and anything else you send through the game stay yours. You let us store, show and use them to run Clakk., for example showing your nickname on leaderboards. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

6. Ending your account

• You can stop playing at any time. You can also ask us to delete your online account and its data by contacting us (see the Privacy Policy).
• We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or as required by law.

7. Liability

We make Clakk. with care, but we provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of data, records, items or progress, or for indirect losses, caused by things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the game will show you the new version and ask you to agree before you keep using online features. The version and date are at the top.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. This does not take away any consumer protection you have under the laws of the place where you live.
